Spring Break

We took a whirlwind Austin/San Antonio/Fredericksburg trip for Spring Break this year. We were only gone for 4 days, but we had a great time!

First Stop, UT Baseball game

We bought tickets then headed to South Congress for some food truck food.

The game was great. Burnt Orange everywhere, and the Horns Won!

Thomas didn't want to leave!! Texas Fight.

Josh crashed on our way to the hotel. ha ha!

We had dinner at Gueros then headed to the bridge to watch the bats come out.

We took the kids to Amy's ice cream then a tour of the the UT Campus. We decided to stop at Gregory Gym and show them the "hall of fame" where both Steve and I are on the walls as Intramural Champs!!

(Steve forgot to take a picture of his)

The remodeled Gregory Gym is gorgeous!

The next morning we ate breakfast at Kirby Lane then hiked up Mt Bonnell.

Next stop, Zilker/Town Lake for canoes, running and the train!

Charles and I rode the train while the others ran around the lake.

Thomas and Charles were hot so they hopped into the Lake! It was FREEZING. Crazy boys.

After drying off, we loaded the car and drove to San Antonio to see cousins.  We only stayed one night, and spent the day in Fredericksburg the next day.  We visited Becker vineyard and ate some German food.  The boys were going to hike up Enchanted Rock but it was CLOSED. darn.

After Dinner in Fredericksburg

We got to see the Perry's when we got back to San Antonio that night, then left the next morning.  We jammed a lot into 4 short days.  Thomas wants to go to UT even more now.  He shot hoops in the gym and decided that is where he was going to go to school.  Joshua loved the food trucks in South Austin and Charles couldn't get enough hiking.

We had a really fun trip!

Happy 14Th Birthday Joshua!

Joshua is 14!  We had a pretty low key celebration. Of course his morning started with donuts on the Birthday plate! And a candle to blow out before school.  He was also greeted with presents and a big bucket of popcorn (his favorite)

After school Grammy had us over for dinner (hamburgers, yum!) cake and presents.

After opening a few small things, he got to his BIG  present!

A New Trombone...a professional Bach Stradivarius. Wow!! Thanks so much to both the Kall and Winton Grandparents for this awesome gift!!

A little bit later we had cake; he blew out all 14 of his candles.  High School here he comes!
