Flower Mound City Champs

We did it!!! Thomas's baseball team, the Storm, not only finished the regular season undefeated but won the city tournament. After a REALLY tough game Wednesday night, we beat the #2 Cardinals in the finals on Friday for the win. It was an emotional week for the parents as the kids learned to work through nerves and jitters they had never felt before. The boys pulled through finishing 16-12 against a really tough second place team. Way to go boys!

The team celebrates after the final out.

Steve received a team plaque for the first place win and all the boys got trophies

Thomas was so excited about the win. He said it was the best day of his life.

The 1st place Storm and 2nd place Cardinals. What a game it was!

Joshua wasn't feeling well, so he stayed home, but #1 Fan Charles cheered from the dugout. Thomas later said "you know I think it really helped us win because Charles was wearing my old shirt" Maybe so. All of us parents have a long list of superstitions, so Charles my have to wear that shirt to every game from here on out!

Happy Birthday Joshua- 11 years old!

We spent Joshua's birthday at the Great Wolf Lodge. He invited two buddies and had a really great time at the waterpark and hanging in the hotel. Steve and I endured the two days...for his sake. This is definitley not a vacation for the parents!! But it was a blast for the kids!

This was where the kids slept. It is a separate bunk area in the room.

And here is our balcony. There is an indoor and outdoor water park there.

We opened his presents in the room after ordering pizza. He got some cool stuff:

But he was most excited about this...he finally got a CELL PHONE!

The wave pool was a big hit with everyone

And of course the waterslides. The Texas Tornado was everyone's favorite!! Thomas and Charles had a blast too.

We came home Sunday exhausted to yardwork and laundry. The next day (on his actual birthday)we celebrated with cake after grilling hamburgers. It was a great birthday.
